Does anyone that keeps their PC in a drafty place, notice a reduction in CPU temps during the winter?

I know it got chilly last night with the window open, and CPU was running cooler.

Doesn't have to be draughty at all. If the ambient temp. is lower, then so will the PC temp be.

It's a completely linear relationship: My Case temp is generally a few degrees above the ambient temp, and my CPU temp is basically always ~20C above that. (under F@H load all the time, pretty much)

That's why my CPU is running more overclocked now it's winter, as I'm happier with the temps.

Wow, so you can oc significantly further during the cooler months?

Not really, but I don't like the temps I get - If my case temp hits 40C when I'm at max OC (~2.25Ghz), then I end up with a CPU temp in excess of 60C, and that's a number I don't like much 😱

At current settings (11x200 = 2200Mhz), it's around 47-50C under load, with a case temp ~28C - 30C

I would think that the actual draft itslef would help. In fact, after reading your question I put my computer up on the table and checked the temps. They were much higher. My apartment has a nice draft the comes right through my computer. Now that the Temp has dropped over the last couple of weeks it has made a big difference. If you dont beleive me, just ask my minature Schnazuer. Ozzy is his name by the way. The draft can and does make a difference. Warm air rises, so a draft especially in line with the computer can be signigicant.

2 intake and 3 exhaust fans provide all the draught I need
