Received a new PSU today and discovered something interesting on my motherboard. I own a gigabyte lmt 3 usb, (this is hard to explain, so bear with me) there is text on my mother board that says "ATX_12V" and next to it a port for either 4 or 8 pins. Previously, there was only 4 pins plugged in here, however my pay has arrived with an 8 pin connector for this slot. I'd post an image, but I'm not sure how to do it.

Really sorry about the bad explanation, answer would be appreciated.

Solution
Hello JJ,

you can either plug in 4 or 8 pins into that EPS socket.
you will only notice a difference for heavy overclocks.

So Just leave it as it is:)
