I have a 450w psu with 2 x SATA and 2 x 4Pin cables and I'm not sure if I need a more powerful one for the following system:

ASrock H61M-VG3 P1.60
Intel core i3-3220 3.3 GHz 3300 Mhz
HDD - 500GB - SATA
SSD - 120 GB - SATA
GPU - Asus GTX 750 Ti
RAM - 2x4GB hyperx savage
DVD - SATA

Please help with these questions:

1. Is the 450W psu sufficient for this system?

2. If yes: since the psu has only to 2 SATAs and I have 3 sata components, is it ok to use a 4pin-to-sata power cable for the DVD-ROM?

Thanks!

The GTX 750 Ti has a very low power consumption. It only consumes around 60W during gaming which is quite a bit under the 192W of power your psu is able to supply on the 12V.

However, the quality of the power supply is debatable. It may be lacking some safety features, this however shouldn't affect the performance.

Make sure when buying a GTX 750 Ti to get one that doesn't need a 6/8 pin connector.

Thanks very much for your help guys!

I think for the graphics card i'll go with https://www.asus.com/Graphics-Cards/GTX750TIPH2GD5/specifications/.

As for the PSU, looks like i'll have to replace it with something safer/better, the only problem is i have no idea what to pick from the list.

Can you please recommend something decent & cheap that will eliminate the low amps and safety problems?

Anything Tier 3 and above, just sort by price and find the cheapest that's also on the list.
