ATX vs MicroAtx

What's the difference besides size? Also is Mini ITX similar/same compatibility?

Advantages/Disadvantages?

Will most GPU/CPU/ETC fit both of them?

Does space become an issue trying to fit everything on the board for the micro? Does it become more difficult to upgrade in future because of size (things covered up by GPU or etc)?

Any other relevant issue when picking a mobo with regards to this?

Generally you won't have issues plugging things into boards, even with video cards. You may have to plug a few things in first before installing the card though.

Full ATX/EATX cases will have 7 or 8 slots as well, but support motherboards that are 'wider' (if you consider the side against the slots as vertical)

ATX will generally get you 3 PCIe x16, and 4 additional slots (ATX cases are usually available with the matching 7 slots, some have 8 though so you can hang a video card off of the end as with ITX)

mATX will get you usually two PCIe x16 (but not necessarily at full speed) Cases usually have 4 PCI slot openings

ITX will get you a single PCIe 16x slot, any case you get will need at least two slot openings to host a double wide card.
