ATX12V or ESP12V PSU cord

i have a ASrock H87M motherboard with a Seasonic M12II 520w psu. Do i use the ATX12V 8/4 or the ESP12V cord

Are you inquiring about the CPU Auxiliary power connector? If so, use the 8 pin EPS connector if your motherboard has an 8 pin socket, or the 4 pin ATX connector if your motherboard has a 4 pin socket. Most PSUs expose this as a 4+4 for ease of use.

In that case you can use either the 8 pin EPS connector or the 4+4 pin ATX/EPS connector. I'm unsure why Seasonic felt it was necessary to include the 8 pin alongside the 4+4, but they are electrically identical. The only difference is that one can be decoupled to fit in motherboards that have only a 4 pin socket.
