Au PC build Intel or AMD

I have come up with 2 builds one with Intel and one with AMD. I would like your thoughts and suggestions or tweaks or a full new build. I'm trying to keep it in the $1000 range and please I'd rather you didn't use PC part picker as it doesn't include many Au websites such as CPL and Austin Computers. thanks.

Get i5 4590 , drop the cooler and Get GTX 970 4GB VRAM .

This but change the mobo instead to a non-z version. After market cooler still good idea as stock on is terribly noisy

PSU might need to be higher voltage also i will be play games like Dayz mod for Arma II OA which is very CPU intensive.
