So this is coming from my speakers, not the hardware itself. Occasionally I hear a quiet honk, almost like an airhorn, but not super loud. I have no idea what's causing it.

I checked the Windows sound settings, and it's none of the default Windows sounds.

All notifications are turned off.

I can't find anything in Event Viewer that correlates with the sound.

Multiple virus scans found nothing.

It's starting to become really irritating. Is there some other way I can track this?

So if you use headphones you can hear it through the headphones?
And If you mute your speakers from the system tray, the sounds stop?

if "yes" for both of those then its definitely software related. Try running with the windows sound mixer open to see what apps are producing sound. then you should be able to track it down from there.
