Greetings,

I am running a Asus M5A99FX Pro R2.0 no bios update for USB 3.0 issue fix.
AMD 8350 FX Black edition
Corsair 16GB 1866 MHz
700 watts bronz powersupply
Blue western digital 1TB hard drive
Corsair HS35 Stereo headset

I have an issue with my audio recoding or rather output and it only seems gameplay triggers the issue. What happens is that desktop audio (gameplay, music, webrowser, etc.) is going into my mic meter. I don't have pc speakers so the issue is nothing external. For example, when playing a game, the issue is not apparent, desktop meter and mic meter are independent; I play my game and the audio shows only on desktop meter, I speak into my mic and the meter only moves when I speak or tap on my keyboard. But after some time playing a game the desktop audio plays in both desktop and mic meter, desktop audio is bleeding into mic. Mic meter shows movement when I am not even speaking. So, when I playback my recoding (OBS) I hear the desktop playback twice, the default desktop recording and again by bleeding into mic stream. It's like a door to mic stream is kicked in and allows for desktop audio to seep through. The main problem with this is that even if I am not recoding the problem will occur; so, If I am using discord open mic you will hear game audio and is a major problem for teammates and of course myself of the bleeding indulgence.

I am looking for a fix, something like box check to click on/off like in the sound setting found on system try when right clicking on it. I've gone through all the check boxes in that setting menu (Playback, Recoding, Communications), to no avail. Sometimes closing a game or opening a certain game will shut the bleeding door but it does not work all the time. Is there anything else I can do? I read a new headset will work, I went ahead and bought one (the Corsair HS35 Stereo), the bleeding was not there when I first connected but the bleeding door was closed for sure, not completely. Maybe it is the headset still.

but I have also read a sound card will solve the problem. Assuredly, I am running a budget gaming PC. So, a budget card would be convenient. 20-50 or 100 dollars ~

That's my case, I await for the assist.

God bless,

SanaCrawsz

Which BIOS version are you currently on for your motherboard? Which OS are you working off of? If it's Microsoft's OS environment, see if disabling listen to this device changes your experience. The reason I asked for BIOS and OS information is that people experiencing audio issues while on a Realtek or USB based audio solution have managed to resolve it by making sure the BIOS is up to date, that the OS is also on the latest version and manually installing the drivers in an elevated command, i.e, Right click installer>Run as Administrator.

What is the make and model of your PSU and it's age?

Bios version is 2501 (straight out of the box version)
PSU is a Roswell 750W 80 Plus Bronze Model: Arc 750 about 6 years in use as well as the rest of the internal hardware.
Windows 10 Enterprise 1809

I am not running anything sound via USB; but, do you think a sound card might bypass the Realtek issue with an older version of windows 10?
