Hi forum,
I haven't noticed this before but the headphone jack in the front of my PC's case has it's audio left and right channels switched? Do you think this would be a hardware or software issue? I might try installing different audio drivers to see if it helps, the back panel's audio jack is fine.
Thanks, Oliver

They're headphones, I'm using them for gaming and having sounds come out of the wrong ear gets a bit annoying. I think it's a hardware issue, a wire being soldiered onto the wrong bit or something. Do you know of any software fixes? I'm using Realtek and so far haven't been able to find any 'swap stereo' tickboxes anywhere

I'm pretty sure most Mobo's have realtek as the default Sound Card, I only install the drivers so sound works but I'm sure you can install their software which gives you more options like channels etc etc, see if you have that and install it to see if anything in there lets you swap the outputs around.

There are also small plugs that connect the reset switch, power button and front audio to the motherboard, make sure the sound isn't the wrong way around.

They will look something like this but prob not exact but it will give you an idea what you are looking for.

I think on my motherboard the front panel audio plugs are combined into one, I can see the reset, power, usb and other plugs but the corresponding one seems to be the F_AUDIO one. Is there a way to swich the wires around? I've attatched a picture of it here:
