Audio crackling and pitch shifted every once in a while

Hello and thanks for taking the time to try to help me!

I built a new PC approx. a month ago and it has a few sound issues. Sometimes if I'm watching a YouTube video or a twitch stream, the audio starts crackling when there are low freq. sounds and then at random intervals the audio will "pitch shift" and sound a little muffled.Kind of like it's played pack at the wrong rate (think of the old record players). I already tried the a lot of the standard troubleshooting things like re-seating graphics card and RAM, updating/reinstalling most of the drivers and BIOS. The only thing that I didn't do yet was resetting/reformatting Windows 10. In terms of hardware I'm running:

  • i7-8700K
    ASROCK Z370 Taichi @ P3.20
    Sennheiser PC 360

One more hint is that when I turn of my PC, Dr. Debug shows 04, which ASROCK says is RAM related.
Any ideas? Or should I just reset/reformat and if that doesn't work RMA piece after piece?
