Question Audio cuts out unless chrome video playing

Audio in games and other applications cut out unless a chrome video (youtube) is playing, Its fine when chrome isnt open, ive made sure that the application can take all audio control is off and updated drivers so unsure what else to do, any suggestions? thanks in advance

When you say the audio 'cuts out unless chrome video is playing', do you mean it breaks when Chrome is open but any YouTube video isn't playing? If so, instead of preventing the applications to take full control, you should enable the feature and let the programs take full control.

Please accept my apologies if I didn't understand the question correctly.

To troubleshoot, you can try a few things like:

* Try muting the tab where YouTube video is streaming. This can be done by clicking the small speaker icon on the tab itself.

* Try searching for and running the Find and fix problems with playing sound program from the Cortana search box.

* Try Running the SFC /SCANNOW Command.
