[SOLVED] Audio Devices not listed

I've looked online and found no solutions no my question: Why are my audio devices not found? The speaker icon in the windows systray has the red mute icon next to it, and when I click it a new troubleshooter windows opens saying "Detecting Problems". When it asks me which device I'd like to troubleshoot, I'm only giving 3 options, all of which are HDMI and I don't use HDMI audio. When I go to device manager, I can only find the drivers I need under hidden devices, with the device status saying "Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer." This happened before this not too long ago, and the way I fixed it was to just replace the motherboard, something I've been trying to get done anyway. The issue applies to my speakers (two different sets) and a pair of headphones, and it doesn't matter if i plug them into my motherboard rear audio, the front audio, or the sound card.

What speakers/output are you using? How are they connected?

Are you selecting the correct output within Windows? Rather than troubleshooting, make sure the option for rear speakers (or whatever) is selected here first:

May be worth reinstalling your Audio driver, but without knowing how they're connected, it's tough to say.

Okay, so I turned on my computer to make a response and its working just fine. Don't think I didn't try restarting it first though, I just finished up the "sfc /scannow" command and it said it couldnt repair something so repaired that and what have you so that probably had something to do with it. I feel like a dumbass, but whatever.
