Audio driver Dell Latitude 610

Need audio driver for Dell Latitude 610 laptop with Windows 7. It had previously had Windows XP on it.

I'm assuming you are looking for drivers for a Latitude D610, and not a C610? The C610 was Pentium III-based, and probably couldn't handle Windows 7.

According to Dell, the Latitude D610 used a Sigmatel STAC 975X chip for sound, and there isn't a driver available on Dell's website for Windows 7 or even Vista. A Google search may give suggestions on other Dells that used the same chip and have at least a Vista driver, which are compatible with Windows 7.

You need to google the audio driver and download it from third party websites. The dell website doesn't have it.
