Audio jack on motherboard

My audio wasn't working on my newly built PC so I unplugged it from the motherboard and plugged it back again and it worked. I took it out previously to fix the power LED. Was it just a loose connection or something more? Oh, it was working fine before I took it out to fix the power LED.

You probably did not fully seat it when you first replaced it then when you refitted it you pushed it fully home.
