Question Audio jacks aren't working

So this is rather odd. I got a new mobo (asus prime z390-a) and cpu (17-9700k). I got everything plugged in and the pc booted just fine. the problem is that it says that I haven't got anything plugged into the line in jack on the back of the mobo, but for a few seconds when it just booted up it detects that something is plugged in. The front jacks don't work either. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I solved it by uninstalling the driver for realtek high definition audio in device manager. It works, but sounds a bit flat compared to my old mobo.
