Audio Just Suddenly Stopped Working (Win8.1)

So i was playing with my friend and talking to him though steam then suddenly i could not heat him any more or the game i was playing or any video i tried to play, i tried toubleshooting it but it said everything is good with my audio, the headset im using is the tritton kunia (white). I am also using a rig that i built.

The problem may be in the headset cable. Try plugging it out, restarting the PC and plugging it back in.
