Audio on new pc build not working.

I just built a pc and I have a ASUS 970 Pro Gaming AURA motherboard. I cant hear any audio coming from anything. I have the driver installed. When I try to test the sound, nothing comes from the speakers. I've tried everything and I'm stuck and dont know what to do. Please help

where are the speakers plugged in?
what playback device do you have set to default?
