I've got the new RTX 3080 FE. I have been experiencing audio crackling when playing games and starting up applications. No audio crackling when using only one though. At a certain point audio and video loading will just freeze in the background until I either restart my amp+dac, or switch audio to my speakers, this is then proceed to load video/audio. I should also mention I use the Element 2 JDS AMP+DAC. I don't know why this is happening. I've updated my BIOS, reinstalled chipset drivers, Nvidia drivers. I don't know where to go from here. Please help me

_
CONCLUSION
_
Your system seems to be having difficulty handling real-time audio and other tasks. You may experience drop outs, clicks or pops due to buffer underruns. One or more DPC routines that belong to a driver running in your system appear to be executing for too long. One problem may be related to power management, disable CPU throttling settings in Control Panel and BIOS setup. Check for BIOS updates.
LatencyMon has been analyzing your system for 1:06:32 (h🇲🇲ss) on all processors.

MEASURED INTERRUPT TO USER PROCESS LATENCIES
_
The interrupt to process latency reflects the measured interval that a usermode process needed to respond to a hardware request from the moment the interrupt service routine started execution. This includes the scheduling and execution of a DPC routine, the signaling of an event and the waking up of a usermode thread from an idle wait state in response to that event.

Highest measured interrupt to process latency (µs): 443.30
Average measured interrupt to process latency (µs): 6.766825

Highest measured interrupt to DPC latency (µs): 437.0
Average measured interrupt to DPC latency (µs): 3.079291

_
REPORTED ISRs
_
Interrupt service routines are routines installed by the OS and device drivers that execute in response to a hardware interrupt signal.

Highest ISR routine execution time (µs): 101.888116
Driver with highest ISR routine execution time: Wdf01000.sys - Kernel Mode Driver Framework Runtime, Microsoft Corporation

Highest reported total ISR routine time (%): 0.005426

_
REPORTED DPCs
_
DPC routines are part of the interrupt servicing dispatch mechanism and disable the possibility for a process to utilize the CPU while it is interrupted until the DPC has finished execution.

Highest DPC routine execution time (µs): 1250.271083
Driver with highest DPC routine execution time: nvlddmkm.sys - NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver, Version 456.71 , NVIDIA Corporation

DPC count (execution time 2000-4000 µs): 0
DPC count (execution time >=4000 µs): 0

_
REPORTED HARD PAGEFAULTS
_
Hard pagefaults are events that get triggered by making use of virtual memory that is not resident in RAM but backed by a memory mapped file on disk. The process of resolving the hard pagefault requires reading in the memory from disk while the process is interrupted and blocked from execution.

NOTE: some processes were hit by hard pagefaults. If these were programs producing audio, they are likely to interrupt the audio stream resulting in dropouts, clicks and pops. Check the Processes tab to see which programs were hit.

Process with highest pagefault count: msmpeng.exe

Total number of hard pagefaults 133627
Hard pagefault count of hardest hit process: 28641
Number of processes hit: 174

I have also same problem, hope someone can help us :( If you can figure out why it happens please let me know brother
Okay so it took me from after a week after I posted this message to see if I could solve it, but I was able to figure it out. I didn't post the solution in this board b/c no one responded. But I shall for you!
There were 3 things that worked to help minizine the amount of audio popping and crackling and one that solved it for me.
Thing 1: Change GPU power mode to performance in NVidia control panel>3D settings > power management mode > Performance
Thing 2: Turn off hardware acc on chrome or your browser. Not the best option but it did help minimize the amount of popping
Thing 3: Go back onto an older GPU/GPU driver to find out if your audio problem is related to the GPU (Or more specially the NVidia high def audio driver.)
The thrid option helped me figure out it really was a software problem rather than hardware(I hope).

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Okay now for the big one: Solution
I used the Display Driver Uninstaller from Guru3D to completely uninstall my drivers. Then manually downloaded the drivers from the NVidia website, rather than G-Force experience. This solved my latency problem as I do not get audio crackling anymore.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Side Note: One symptom of this being a software problem is when I was trying to load a video in the background while gaming and then having it stop loading completely, then having the video ask to restart my computer. this was due to some type of bug within the NVidia drivers.
