Audio ports on front and rear of computer stopped working.

So my cat was walking behind my computer by the cables, then suddenly my sound is coming out of my tinny monitor speakers instead of my Logitech Z313 speakers. I tested both my speakers and my ATH-M30 headphones in both the rear and front audio ports and neither work in either.
My volume settings show sound going to the speakers when they should, and I have already reinstalled sound drivers.

I don't have a dedicated sound card. The sound runs through my motherboard (Gigabyte 970A-D3P), and the front port is on my case(CM Carbide 400R).

I am running Windows 8.1. Any ideas? Thanks.

it sounds like your system switched over to the hdmi soundbuilt into the GPU. Use the control panel to manage playback devices and select your motherbds soundcard again.

I have my speakers set as the default playback device, and it appears that that is where my computer is trying to play from.
