Hello Everyone.
I recently built a new PC and i am having some problems with the audio. I am running Windows 10 home 64-bit and the newest Realtek HD audio drivers.
Right before any sound is played on the PC i hear a loud pop sound and then the sound proceeds to play. The popping does not occur during the audio itself, just every time that it goes from no sounds playing to a sound playing. I have tried this on both the front and back audio jacks, using multiple headsets and even using my monitors inbuilt speakers with HDMI and the issue still persists.
I also notice in some games there is a faint whining noise that is often times extremely distracting. It is not as loud as the popping but it is loud enough to hear normally.
I then tried to uninstall the Realtek drivers and just use the standard Microsoft ones and the issue remained. This leads me to believe there is a problem with the onboard audio of my motherboard. Would buying a external usb dac help these issues? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
