Audio probs with win 7 64 bit

I am having random issues with my sound stuttering and dragging. I have the realtek hd audio driver. I have two production programs installed, cakewalk kinetic 2 composition program as well as sessions music producer software installed. Stuttering comes though with or without these programs installed. My OS is win 7 64 bit, does anyone have a solution? Thanks.
