Hello!

If anyone is audio/PC savvy, knowleadgable about minimizing latency etc.

I'd like to buy parts and buld a really good PC for audio (recording and mixing and whatnot). I work in IT and am an amateur/semi-pro musician.

I was thinking Intel i7-6800 on an ASUS mobo, with 32 GB of RAM + GTX 1070 (for some gaming) and a NVME SSD etc. You build pros can help me balance the CPU and RAM, also tell if it's better having 4x8 GB modules or 2x16 GB RAM. Etc. Etc.

I know I have to be careful with motherboard especially - as I want basically zero latency. I have RME Babyface audi card which plugs to a USB port.

Should I be picky about the USB port brand too? I know I should get an Intel chipset LAN, not Realtek. As less chips eating CPU as possible. What else should I worry about?

Have you used LatencyMon? Should I get a nVidia GTX at all or will it cause problems?

Any help is greatly appreciated!
