first of all, is audio production really that demanding. second, do you do more than 3 hrs of that stuff a day?

Running a lot of programs all at once. Needs a lot of storage for files. I'm planning on doing it all day.

for more cash, id go for overclocking and a slightly better motherboard but then thats a hundred dollars

Which motherboard? And how do you over clock? And I heard it's dangerous to the computer. Also, with that setup could I use more than one monitor?

I don't think 3770 can over clock, but I think 3770k can. Which in your opinion is better?

if you are to overclock, get a k chip and a z77 motherboard

they are the same chips but the k can overclock

overclocking is not dangerous if you know what you are doing. many guides on how to do it

Pros

-more performance for free after you buy the right hardware
-adds a tad bit of futureproofing where you can overclock to keep up a little

Cons'
-can reduce component lifespan if done incorrectly
-more heat (although a heatsink will be sufficient to dissipate it)

yes. it will let you do work on one and game on another. but dont game on both of them at the same time

you can run 3 monitors no problem

running 2 for gaming would not make sense when your cursor is in the middle of the 2 screens
