Hi there!
I was wondering if you lot could help me with this very annoying problem I'm having... Ok so to get started I'll list my specs.
Case: Cooler Master K282
Motherboard: MSI Z97 Gaming 5 (Which is where the problem is)
CPU: Intel i7-4790k (Not overclocked)
RAM: Corsair Vengeance Pro 2x8GB (16GB)
GPU: ATI Radeon HD 6670 (2GB)
PSU: Corsair CX600M (600W) Modular
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2TB
OS: Windows 10 64-bit Professional (The same thing happened on Win7 64bit)
Ok so I just recently built my PC, everything is fine so far except the audio, it sounds terrible (distorted & tinny). Regardless of where I plugin my headset (Which is a Turtlebeach Earforce ZLA and is working fine) it always gives me this result. The front panel AND the back panels (which should work regardless) have the same result. I've connected in the "HD Audio" for the front panel jumper instead of the "AC'97" because the "AC'97" doesn't seem to work at all. I've also installed everything that came on the disk in the motherboard box but still no fix here...
Here is a picture of the dxdiag sound panel: http://prntscr.com/9svutm
Here is also some more info: http://prntscr.com/9svvpd
Please help me with this issue, I've already sent a support ticket to MSI but in the mean time I would like to see if you lot know anything that I can do.
