Hi, I have some questions regarding the sound setup on a new build.

New build will be using the ROG Strix X570-E motherboard which has onboard S1220A codec
Speakers are my old Logitech Z 5500, which I usually connect via optical cable.
Most of the time however, I use my Sennheiser PC 363D headphones, connected to the Logitech control box thing.

I was wondering if it would be worth trying to reuse my current sound card, an Asus Xonar D2X
The downsides to this, there is only a beta driver for Windows 10, and there is no front panel connectivity on this card.

PC is mostly used for gaming, but I do use it for listening to music/watching films etc.

It would be nice to reuse the Xonar or just stick with the on board sound of the new motherboard, as this means not spending more money.
If neither option is good, what would people recommend?

Thanks.

Further to this, would I be right in thinking that the onboard sound of the new motherboard will drive my headphones properly, meaning I wont need to turn the volume up when I plug the headphones in?

Will this still be the case if I plug the headphones in via the Logitech control box?
