Audio sound board external help

Hello,
I recently bought a USB to 3.55mm jack to fix my problem of my sound card not working I cant seem to get it to work. Any help appreciated.

You would need a USB DAC.
Is that what you got?
You might need drivers and would also have to choose it as your audio device.
