Audio source cuts in/out

So I noticed this a month or 2 ago, but my audio would just cut out and come back in after a second or 2. I wasn't sure what exactly was happening, but then I found that some how my audio source (headphones) were being detected as being unplugged and then re-plugged in. I figured it might be something up with my audio driver, so I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it, didn't fix it. I'm not too sure what else could be causing it.

So I've noticed that it mainly happens when I'm using my browser (Chrome). I don't notice it in games ever, unless i'm also watching something in my browser at the same time.
