Question Audio stutters occasionally, then PC freezes and requires hard reboot ?

Basically while gaming (and sometimes just on the desktop,) I will get these few second audio stutters/static and sometimes the static is followed by the system completely freezing, audio cuts off, mouse/kb are unresponsive, and system requires a hard restart.

In event viewer, at each crash there's 2 notable events:
Event ID 219 : The driver \Driver\WudfRd failed to load for the device HID\VID_046D&PID_0AAA&MI_03&Col02\7&26d7e364&0&0001.
(from what I could gather this is related to my headset, Logitech G Pro X)

Event ID 1 (WHEA log) : A fatal hardware error has occurred. A record describing the condition is contained in the data section of this event.

I can't remember how long this has been going on for, it's seemingly worse now than it was before, and there doesn't seem to be a specific situation when it happens (sometimes it's gaming, other times I will lock the computer while pretty much idle and come back to it fully frozen.)

Specs are below, most recent change is upgrading from an RTX 2070 to the 7900 XTX (full DDU to remove Nvidia drivers)

Motherboard: Asus Prime Z690P D4
CPU: Intel i5 12600k
GPU: XFX RX7900 XTX
RAM: 16GB G-Skill Trident-Z 3600Mhz
PSU: Corsair RMx 850w
SSD: 2 x Samsung 970 Evo (250gb boot, 1TB)
2 x HDDs
OS: Windows 10 (10.0.19045)

No overclocking at all, just using the default XMP profile. While gaming temps are reasonable.

Any ideas would be appreciated, have been pretty stumped as there's no patterns to the crashes other than the event logs above.

Solution
You might try re-installing the audio drivers.

And, consider uninstalling software not essential to gaming like the amd Adrenalin software.

PSU: Corsair RMx 850w
How old is the PSU in your build?

As for your GPU drivers, after running DDU did you manually reinstall the latest GPU drivers sourced from AMD's support site in an elevated command, i.e, Right click installer>Run as Administrator?

BIOS version for your motherboard?

- PSU is a little over a year old, previously was running an EVGA 750w before it failed.

-For the GPU drivers I just installed them through the AMD Adrenalin software (AMD equivalent to GeForce Experience)

-BIOS Version is 1620

So I updated the graphics drivers to latest, updated the bios (probably unnecessary but my revision was over a year out of date,) as well as updated audio drivers/headset firmware through G Hub. I also switched the USB port the headset was using, some people have mentioned it has fixed static issues with this particular headset, so I figured I'd try it.

Did a little gaming as a test, also with a video playing on a second monitor. Not a full stress test, CPU was probably averaging 30-40%, GPU at 100%. Didn't experience any audio static or stutters and nothing froze or crashed.

Not 100% sure if the issue is resolved, it is very random when it happens, so I will update the thread if I encounter it again.

Thanks for the suggestions thus far!

Sorry for the late update to this - but I haven't experienced any issues with audio, and my PC hasn't crashed since doing the steps above, not 100% sure the solution, though I'm quite certain it was related to the audio drivers as event viewer reported them crashing every time my PC froze.
