Hi!

I once again have an issue that I hope could be resolved here on this forum. I just came home from my vacation of about 1,5 weeks. When I left I had unplugged any and all cables related to my PC to make sure lightning would not get to it whilst I was gone. Now when I booted up the PC once again I can't get game sounds to work. I can hear all Windows sounds, YouTube, Netflix, Discord and such. But not in any games can I hear sound. I have tried with Steam games and Battle.Net games. I tried reinstalling my drivers but without success. I would be glad for any and all help!

Happy New Year!

When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs. Please list the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
Please include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model., the BIOS version for your motherboard as well as your audio equipment.

I would guess that maybe your OS needs a reinstall if a driver reinstall didn't change anything for you. Speaking of reinstall, did you install the latest audio driver in an elevated command, i.e, Right click installer>Run as Administrator?

I did not find out what the issue could have been, but I decided to redo all the fixes I had tried before. Starting with removing the audio driver, then reinstalling it. Removing any and all game files, and then reinstall them. For some reason that seems to have kind of done the trick. I still don't hear music in some loading menus, but now I have audio in all games whilst playing.
