Auditor problem--i think its me

this might sound dumb to most bu im a newb and i had downloaded the auditor cd and i had burned it and it didnt boot..i changed the boot sequence in the bios..what am i doing wrong im using cd burner xp pro 3

please save the harsh/rude remarks..we all had to learn
 
What kind of file are your trying to burn? Is it an .iso?
An .iso should burn fine on a Windows system with RockRidge capable burner.
If you need to manually make a bootable Linux CD, you need to compile an .iso on a Linux system:

See here or google for other information.
You might want to burn it on a Linux computer using NeroLinux, K3b or whatever program you have.
