Hi guys, i'm having a few problems with my ALX.

I bought this ALX on the cheap as the previous owner couldn't get it working. He said it was boot looping and he didn't have the experience to get it working. I did computing in college and have built a few systems before so i thought it would be an easy one, how wrong am i.

The system;
i7 920 @ 2.6ghz
22gb of corsair XMS3 1600mhz (although BIOS only showed 10gb)
GTX 460 GPU
128gb SSD
875w Dell PSU

I got it home, set it all up, and sure enough, it was blue screening, giving me a stop code of 0X124 - fatal hardware issue.

so, i tested the PSU, GPU and SSD in my old Asus SEII system, and managed to reinstall windows 7 on the SSD, ive reseated all the RAM, put everything back in the Aurora and now i cannot turn it on from the power button (the diagnostics button on the PSU spins all the fans and lights all the leds)

I'm now stumped, initially i thought Ram as i have 22gb but Bios only showed 10gb, but surely that wouldn't stop the system booting? I have a orange led on the MIO board so thats getting power.

Any help would be awesome :)

Try booting up with individual sticks of ram. Try each one individually and if some will work and some won't, then that's your issue. If they all work then I would pull out the processor and see if it has all the capacitors intact on the bottom. If you had a way to test that, that would be awesome, but if not, a physical exam is usually good enough. I'd also take a double check and see that all power cables are firmly in place

@marcopolo123 I can't get into the BIOS to check what the boot order is, but i'm pretty sure its 1. SSD 2. CD drive

@superfreestyleer I just tried this now, i've taken all the ram out and put them each in different combonations, still nothing. I've also had a look at the processor and i can't see any signs of damage. I don't have another desktop to test it either. I've inspected the mobo for any blown capacitors or fried chips, and it all looks okay. It's actually blowing my mind.
