Aurora R7 with free sync monitor?

If I have an Alienware Aurora R7 GTX1080 with an NVIDIA graphic card, could I operate with an Alienware 25 inch free sync monitor?

Sure, it just won't work with the Free Sync since that is for AMD cards.
