Authentication

I have a computer with Windows xp already loaded on it and when I try to get
additional software from the download centre I am asked to check for
authentication , this fails, how do i overcome this problem.
I am a pensioner new to this modern technology

Please don't post the same query multiple times. You got answers to
the copy you posted yesterday.

There's so much traffic in this group that it takes a lot of time to
weed through -- don't make it worse by starting duplicate threads.

if your computer is a new purchcased one, contact with your seller.
if your windows is installed with a illegal install cd you cannot pass the
authentication.

Yes it can. I have seen it happen. I have seen legit copies not pass. Both
WPA and WGA are stupid, do not stop piracy, and only affect paying
customers.
