[SOLVED] Auto over clocking?

I just completed my 1st build.
Ryzen 5 2600x
GeForce RTX2060
Asrock b450 itx
Corsair vengeance 3000 16gb of ddr4 ram.
I was told to download a program call CAM and Ryzen master. Upon running cam I noticed my cpu is running at 4.1-4.2 idle speed.I don’t want to over clock anything just stock. I’m new to pc gaming so I don’t want to mess anything up. Is this safe?

4.2 GHz is the boost speed, so technically it's not overclocking. Yes, it is running on the high side, but you computer is still doing a lot at "idle" so it's not shocking. What is more important is the temperature. If the idle temperature is around 35C then your fine .... if it's 60C plus, then something is up.

Thank you!!! Idle temp is sitting 33c to 44c

I didn't really think about this earlier, but if you are running high performance or Ryzen balanced power plan, the CPU will stay near the max speed.
