Auto-Shutdown at set time.

I have no idea if someone set it or something but my computer auto-shuts down at a set time everyday, I sometimes loose my work because I can't save it. It gives me about 15-20 seconds before it shuts down. How to fix this? I went into power options and reset to default because I figured this was a Power Option or Parental Control thing but that didn't help.

can be a virus to melt your brain down with anger
other than some 3rd party apps and windows update there is no option to shut the pc down automatically. otherwise can be a virus...

I know you can set a task for Windows to do a certain action using Task Scheduler, idk if that's what someone did. I can't see what tasks were set if any in Task Scheduler.

*Update: Interesting just after I posted this, I clicked the X to close the tab and it Blue Screened only thing I saw was Wink32.sys

this command will abort a shutdown:
shutdown /a

sounds like your better off just doing a fresh install however

Are you sure someone isn't pulling a prank on you? Check your bios/uefi to check something isn't set there. That would override any OS setting.

I will check the BIOS if it has anything in there that would cause this.
