Try running it in compatibility mode.

What is the exact version of AutoCAD are you talking about? MS lists some "version 6" but they are newer and run on 7 http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-7/en-us/Search.aspx?l=en-us&type=Software&s=Autocad%206
