Automatic Bullet Points in Posts

Just checking if there is a way to disable automatic bullet points in a post (globally). I was trying to make a list with + and - points. Everything looked fine until I posted. At which point it changed all my + and - to bullet points. This would be a great update to make this behavior optional. If I wanted bullet points or any other list. I'd have selected it from the drop down. Elsewise I don't need any form of autoformat or autocorrect.

Here is an excerpt from a post I did earlier. This post turned into bullet points on me. So, I'll see if it does the same.

If you do want a new laptop. The Acer Swift 3 is a good choice. Then install whatever flavor of Linux you want or BSD I suppose.

• Better battery life
• Faster
• Sharper screen
• Thinner
• Lighter
• USB Type C

• Not upgradeable
• No macOS

Edit: Yes it did. Just for the heck of it. I'll try without spaces.

Yup. look like a space after consecutive + or - on a new line

You have unintentionally written a bullet list using a variant of Markdown syntax. It will work with asterisks, pluses, and minuses. I don't think there is any way to disable this on a per-post basis.

Good to know. I do wish there was an option to override when WYSIWYG is the desired outcome.
