Automatic Fan Control always gets shut down!?

I tried using the custom fan speed profile in MSI After burner for my MSI GTX 770 card.
Everything works usually, but every once in awhile, the "auto" button in the after burner software greys out on its own for some reason, and I had to manually click it on in order for the fan speed changes to occur. Anyone knows why this is happening?

Glitch in Afterburner? If its a concern, uninstall Afterburner then download and re-install it.

If its still going strange, double check your cards connections - pcie and power.
