OK so I want to overclock my motherboard already did a mild overclock on my video card, but I don't know much about overclocking motherboards or cpu. I seen somewhere that most motherboards have a way to automatically over clock stuff I went into bios but I can't tell what is what. what I am working with is Crucial 32GB DDR4 2133 MT/s (PC4-17000) CL15 DR x8 Non-ECC, a gtx 970 ftw, i7 6700k, and of course the h170 pro gaming asus motherboard. If someone could walk me through either how to set up automatic or a mid range overclock. I am not trying to get it the fastest it can go just get some extra juice for what I paid for it. I really appreciate any help I can get

the "pro gaming" is a marketing term to get you to buy things, the asrock z170 K4 is a good quality z170 motherboard that can be found for $229 (aus) so probably cheaper where you live.

if there is an option in the bios look for an OC tweaker, tuning utility or something that seems related

i dont think you can overclock on a h170 motherboard, i know its a definite no on previous generations but for skylake and all this non k overclokcing stuff im not 100% sure.

the best way to buy is to get a z170 motherboard and a k series chip to get the best results
