Automatic restart problems

Hey guys. I've been having a restart problem and tried to read a lot of stuff on the internet and especially this site.. however I am convinced it's my PSU that's the problem but I want your opinions on this. Cause I already brought my pc for a check up on two shops and both of them were no help at all. When I play HD games (dota2, farcry 3, DmC, CoD, BL2 etc...) my pc restarts instantly! no warning no BSOD nothing.. the only game that doesn't restart is L4D2(which is only played by my gf and is very lucky to not restart) and warcraft(dota). I would really love to know what you guys think. I tried replacing my GTX 460 with my old GPU(GT 250) and the first day it went well. no restart. but a day after same *** different day.

Oh and the sure way that I can check if it still restarts is to do a system rating test. because it can never finish and always restart when doing it.

here's my setup:
MB = Gigabyte Z77-D3H
PSU = Silverstone 500W 80+
RAM = 4*4 Ripjaw
GPU = Inno3D GTX 460 OC
CPU = i7 3770
1 dvd and 1TB WD

Whats your temps when gaming?

Temps can go to as high as 70c on gpu and 54c on cpu.. Just have room temp coz no air conditioning

Have you tried a fresh windows install. I would suggest a 2nd hard drive with a new install of windows. if it works great. if not one more thing to cross off the list.

really? hmm.. I would try that. but the thing is.. wait.. my hard drive? could it? I tried reformatting it like 5 times with windows 7 ultimate (different loaders pirated of course) and it boots up just fine and can update.. updated all my drivers.. BIOS updated it too and nothing's wrong... its just when i play HD games. also tried memory diagnostics and tired my rams 1 by 1 and different slots (the most tiring hardware test) and my rams are ok..
