Hi,
I just got an AMD 1.2 running on an ASUS A7m266 MB. I run ASUS probe.
Is there any way to get a utility that will shut the computer down if the temperature goes to a certain level?
The CPU runs at about 45 C right now. The alarm is set for 60. Asus says they have no auto-shutdown......
Any help appreciated!
Pete

Hi,
I just checked. I see that the MB monitirs the temperature of CPU but I see no way to instruct to shutdown at a certain temp.
Could you tell me exactly what you see and where? Have you done some kind of BIOS upgrade?
The folks at ASUS told me that the MB cannot shutdown ay a specific temp.
Regards
