Aux 4Pin to 8 Pin

:?: Are MB manufacturers changing from the Aux 12v 4 pin to another type I've seen recently, the 8 pin :?

:?: There are adapters available I assume to convert 4 to 8 pin :x

:?: The new 8 pin type are just more 12 lines or extra 5v, 3v, etc.
