Back in August, Avalanche Press announced that they were going to be
providing up to 3 free demo games to "all teachers of history and
related subjects." [See:
http://www.avalanchepress.com/News%20Release.php]

I immediately sent off the required email describing a few games that
were relevant to my classes that students might want to play, and of
course I volunteered to pay for shipping and handling (being separated
by a full continent from Avalanche's warehouse). Well, a month later I
hadn't heard anything, so I sent another email. This one politely
asked if the offer still stood and requested a email response. Still
nothing. Since then, I've tried various methods of communication,
none of which provoked any kind of response. I know of only one other
teacher who requested a game, and he got a similar result.

I realize that teachers begging for games have got to be waaaay down
on the priorty list for Avalanche Press, but I would have expected at
least a "buzz off" email from them or something. Are there any other
teachers who have responded to Avalanche's offer? Did anyone recieve
any games or communication from Avalanche? Are they responding only
to teachers on the East Coast or something?

Thanks,

I also did the same thing for our Christian School.. Liz Fulda replied that
they would surely do so. But remember, Avalanche is in Florida and endured
the repetitive hurricanes. I recently re-contacted Liz Fulda, and have not
received any response from her this time.

Have you tried the game support support section in Consimworld?
http://talk.consimworld.com

The AP representative is active there. You may want to address this question
there.
