I am using HP Windows 10 with either Chrome or Edge. I have Free AVG, Malware bytes, and Glary Utilities for cleanup.
Would Avast be better than AVG since I'm only using free version.
Thanks

adbell_5 -- Avast and AVG have been one for some time, so the back end protection you're getting from either one combines the best we have to offer :) Such as CyberCapture (zero-day protection) which originally comes from Avast technology, and Behavior Shield which originally came from AVG. You may see some differences in look and feel or features but rest assured you are protected whichever you choose.

If you have any questions for us or how we protect you, let us know.

The two used to be substantially different, but AVG was acquired by Avast in 2016. Now they are virtually the same software with very few differences. I prefer Avast, but AVG is good two. The main thing I like about Avast is that it seems to have more features in the free version, such as outdated software scanning and some network scanning tools.
