What is max safe chipset temperature? I have some old Biostar TF560 A2+ mb with the nforce 560 chipset which is hot no matter what. I changed the thermal paste and put a side fan to the case side panel and there is some improvement (before it was around 70c, now its below 60 for the most part)
Now i heard that even the new amd x570 chipsets idle at around 60-65, so i wonder, is that the normal working temperature of the chipset or? The smaller heatsinks they used on nf560 boards and the fact that even changing the paste doesnt really do much leads me to believe this. I had a gigabyte mb with the same chipset and it was around 55-60 as well.
Should undervolting the chipset to 1.2 from 1.25 help?

That's why most x570 chipsets have a fan. Newer, x570s run cooler without a fan.
