[SOLVED] Average Temp for i5 7400?

when i first turn on my pc my idle temp is 25-30c. then as soon as i start watching youtube the average temp is 40-47c. and while gaming it can go from 50-66c. are these temps high? i also overclocked my GPU which is a GTX 1050 and i have a custom fan speed for it on MSI afterburner. gpu temp never goes over 50c. are the CPU temps normal or too high? and the CPU temps never hit 70c. the highest it hit was 68c

Your CPU temp is within spec and expectations. You can improve things with better cooling HSF solutions, but why? This is just an locked i5-7400.

i was just wondering because these temps seem high to me. or do all Kaby Lake CPU's run warmer than other generations?

They do run hotter. A lot of it has to do with the thermal paste Intel used under the lid instead of solder. That did NOT earn very many happy users.
BTW there is my 7700K when I overclocked it to 5Ghz.

You can see the thing got to 78C under the prime95 stress test load. That hot like a GPU.

The thing would idle in the low 30C but spike up real quick under load.
