Question AVG URL Phishing Threat

Hi all,

I am getting this exact same threat popping up. Have run virus scan and everything and nothing is showing up.
Have not been using the website that is shown above so really not sure what's going on. Can anyone advise on how to get rid of it?

I am getting this exact same threat popping up.

Does it pop-up whilst visiting one particular site or does it occur randomly with other sites?

Also, what's the frequency of these pop-ups - one every minute, one every day?

It doesn't seem to be a specific site, the few times it has put up I have had numerous tabs open from Twitter to Instagram. It's popped up at least 5 times since I turned the computer on this morning.

Although saying that it has now appeared a number of times while on instagram.

It could be a rogue Chrome extension that's causing this issue, so for testing purposes, do your browsing in a Chrome Incognito window (where no extensions are active) for a while. It shouldn't take long to determine whether or not that's the cause.

Yeah it seems to have been an extension on Chrome that was causing the issue. Thanks for the help.

Did you identify and remove the Chrome extension?

If you don't know how then get back in touch.
