AVG whitelisted keyboard and pointing device drivers

Hello,
I trojan horse virus has infected the drivers for my keyboard and pointing device on my Compac laptop. AVG whitelisted the drivers and now I can't operate either the keyboard or pointing device (I can still use an external trackball). How to fix?

Is the virus gone ?

If you can get to a command prompt, sfc /scannow may fix the drivers.

Can you system restore to date prior to infection ?
