Question avidemux settings?

im wondering what settings for avidemux I should use, such as the video and audio output, and the output format

That depends. Do you want to just cut/trim the existing video, or do you want to re-encode it (preferably so it take less space). And if yes to the latter, do you have a particular video format you prefer?

im trying to make a montage, idrc how much space it takes up, and nope ii have no clue.

If all the clips are the same put the codecs to copy so that you keep the original quality.

Ok, so maybe you need a different tool for the job? If you could be more specific about this "montage" (what you actually mean) it would hopefully at least be clear if Avidemux is the correct tool or not.
