The MoBo and PSU is future proof! You can upgrade to an Ivy Bridge and stick some 3-way CrossFireX cards two years down the road when Ivy Bridge, PCI 3.0 and 3-way is (hopefully) cheap(er).

You can cut out some premium by the following;

Not bad. On that first build I would drop the monitor to the 23" 3D samsung for $466 and use the savings to upgrade to the asrock extreme7 gen3 or even save $ with the BenQ 3D monitor for under $400 now on newegg.
